Nikki Anderson meets Griffin O'Connor on a blustery fall day in New York and her quiet life as an underpaid barista is shattered. After narrowly escaping from a vicious pack of fledgling vampires, Nikki takes refuge with Griffin and his cadre of gun-toting, knife-throwing cohorts. On the other side of the city, a power-thirsty vampire Alpha named Nicholas Bradley is ruthlessly and systematically expanding his territorial claim of the five boroughs. Unaware his sire, the 953 year old Alexander Rex, is attempting to stage a bloodless coup in a society where blood is the currency. As both sides continue to clash, it becomes apparent Nikki may be a savior for the Hunters and a firebrand destroyer for the vampires, each group desiring to wield her gifts to turn the tide of war in their favor.

Children of Lilith eBook Lauren Devora

The Vampire genre is tired, right? I mean, it’s been done...and done. However, Children of Lilith burns the genre to ash and, like a Phoenix, a fresh take rises. It’s full of wonderfully rounded characters, whom you’ll root for. You have two characters with a little of “will they? Won’t they?” There’s the lovable, witty Boz, sure to be a reader favorite, and some delicious villains. And the ending? Whew! It will wear you out! If you’ve ever loved vampires, read it. If you can’t get enough of strong, female protagonists, read it. If you want a page turner that will keep you up at night, read it. Can’t recommend it enough.

Children of Lilith eBook Lauren Devora Reviews

This is an entertaining tale of vampires and the people who hunt them. Heads will, quite literally, roll. The writer's style and humor are excellent and engaging. The characters are fabulous, and action scenes are vivid.
The author is a fresh voice in this genre, and I am looking forward to reading more of her work!
This book grabbed me from the beginning. I'm very wary of the vampire genre and began reading with apprehension, which quickly dissolved into enthusiasm as I turned the pages, eager to find out what happened next. The characters are complex, the writing is rich with description, and the story is balanced with humor and action. Devora is a talented writer and I hope she continues this story.
This novel is fast-paced but full of witty banter and clever dialogue. The characters are interesting (be prepared to fall in love with Boz!) and two of the villains — Serena and Rex — are delightfully dark and twisted. This is a fascinating take on the vampire genre and it was hard to put it down! And while I am normally bored to tears when it comes to action sequences, the author wrote hers in such a way that made me hold my breath. You won't regret this read.
I have to admit when I started this story I wasn't expecting much. It seemed like another first time excursion into the urban fantasy book that I've seen so many times before. And probably wouldn't turn out to be anything special.

But I was so very wrong. Almost from where to go this book of to me and I finished it as quick as I had time. I want go in and apply details but I am a very excited to hear the stories a all of the characters who survived untill the end.

I really hope the author chooses to continue writing this series, and I look forward to anymore books she chooses to put out
Excellent book- The characters are great and easy to follow. The flow is consistent and interesting and you're invested in the characters from the beginning. They are easy to relate to and easier to fall in love with.
The author definitely keeps you guessing until the end.

I was skeptical about another vampire book, but this one is very different. The fighting is great too, she describes the scenes in ways you can actually understand what is happening. I tend to skim past that sort of thing in other books but it was interesting and well done in this one.
CAN'T WAIT FOR A SEQUEL!!
To me, a great writer will get me invested in the characters and their storyline - and I was laughing, gasping, and feeling with nearly each swipe of the page. Yes, there's violence - in my mind, I've read more "graphic" violence, and instead of it being violent for the sake of violence, each fight had a purpose and was described with enough detail to enhance the readers experience (which in others opinion might be more "graphic").

If you're looking for a paranormal romance and/or urban fantasy that will suck you in and keep you reading - this is the one!!

(Disclosure I know the author, but I had not read any of her writing previously and was not sure what to expect. I was happily surprised when the first chapter drew me in and I needed to keep reading to find out what happened to Nikki and Griffin.)
I have to admit that I did not think that a fresh new take on the Vamp genre could be done but here it is! Creative and fast paced this one grabbed me from the first page. I sharpened my fangs on Anne Rice and the classics so the complexity of the Supe element was a pleasant surprise. The introduction of Gabriel and Michael gave it that Ricean feel but with a more contemporary, hip angle. Loved the humorous banter between the Hunters and how can you not love the deliciously evil Bradley just a teeny bit! I hope we get to delve deeper into Nikki and Griffin's psyche in the sequel! Definitely want more of Boz, the lady killing geek! I highly recommend this author to fans of Laurel K. Hamilton, Karen Marie Moning, and Charlain Harris. Well Done!
